![]() You've got "impressive recroom" and "impressive dining room", which last for a few hours after a pawn did a joy activity / ate in those rooms. It's not directly tied to beauty, but beauty is a part of it. You've got "Impressive bedroom", which is a sense of ownership and permanent for as long as that bedroom is assigned to that pawn. It's up to +15 (which is a great argument for making a beautiful hospital that nobody pointed out yet) That goes up slowly depending on where their beauty meter is resting. You've got "Beautiful environment", which refers to the beauty of a pawns current environment. You've got "Beautiful hospital", which is a +4 for a pawn that's currently laying up in hospital. There are a couple of different buffs when it comes to beauty. Again, at least three tiles from any wall. Again, very important, as the colonists will likely have big debuffs from pain when they get there. The only inconvenience it might cause is that some raw resources have a pretty hefty negative beauty. Remember, a tile with resources on it is still walkable (with the exception of stone chunks and slag). You can (and you should really) place a stockpile there with no worries. Worthy note, the space around the benches is not wasted space. This makes any worker at any bench get the buff. Here, every chair has at least 3 tiles between it and any wall. Very important, as some of your pawns will likely spend a lot of their time here. If the room does not have a lot of furniture, you probably can bring that down to 2 & 3 tiles. Now, if you are too lazy to do the calculations, here is a rule of thumb: if you have a large enough room (bigger than 8x8), make sure that your colonists stay on a spot that has at least 3 tiles between it and the nearest two walls. So basically, for every 2 unwalkable tiles (workbench, table, bed, etc) you substract 1 from the walkable tile count. updating the formula, we now have: space = / 69 * 100 If a tile is not a walkable tile, then that tile will count as 1/2 the space of a walkable tile. Īs you can see, the pawn still has 100% space. What does that mean? basically, if you can draft a colonist and make him sit ontop of that tile, it is a walkable tile. Now, it is important that the tiles are walkable. that means that the minimum number of walkable tiles surrounding a pawn is 49 (the size of a 7X7 room). Now, in order to get the buff, a pawn must have above 70% space. The space % is calculated as follows: space = walkable_tiles / 69 * 100 He sees in a 5 tile radius which covers 69 squares. This game is meant to be a nightmare for your pawns, so this buff can potentially prevent mental breaks.Ĭontrary to what most people think, this buff does NOT depend on the room size, but rather on the immediate surroundings of a pawn. It may not seem as much, but it is pretty relevant. What's the spacious interior buff and why would it be important? r/RimWorldStreams - For all of your videos and streams needs r/RimWorldTales - /u/srgrafo's Rimworld Comic Series r/RimworldSwap - Swap saves with other players r/ShitRimworldSays - /r/nocontext posts about /r/RimWorld r/RimworldArt - Posts about Rimworld Artwork (not fanart!) r/Rimreddit - Colonists playing only on a single planet r/RimWorldPorn - High Quality Images of Rimworld Colonies No discussing pirated versions of the game.
